01// Hunter's Take

The Knicks lost their star to a scary knee scare, shot 11/36 from three, got out-rebounded, went down 14 in the second half — and still stole Game 1 in San Antonio. Karl-Anthony Towns was the difference: with Mitchell Robinson hampered by a broken hand, KAT poured in 18 on 7/15 and made Wemby's night miserable on the other end. Brunson limped to the locker room after Barnes fell on his leg, came back, and iced it with clutch buckets down the stretch — can't question his heart. But the thing that still has me worked up: Mitch Johnson pulled Dylan Harper (16 points on 6/10, 8 boards) with under 5 minutes left for De'Aaron Fox, who proceeded to give him nothing — 0 points, 0 assists, 2 turnovers in the fourth — while the Knicks pulled away. Johnson keeps blindly trusting Fox to close, and if he doesn't realize what he has in Harper soon, it'll cost the Spurs a ring.

🏀 Knicks Steal Game 1 in San Antonio New York went into San Antonio and grabbed Game 1, 105-95 — their first Finals appearance since 1999, chasing a first title since 1973. Brunson gutted through a knee scare, KAT bullied Wemby, and the bench held the fort. Spurs are still favored, but the Knicks just stole home court in a building nobody expected them to win in.

🏈 Eagles Ship A.J. Brown to New England After months of noise, it's done: Philly traded A.J. Brown to the Patriots for a 2028 first and a 2027 fifth. The deal only made sense after June 1, and drafting Makai Lemon in the first round was the writing on the wall. Brown reunites with Vrabel and gives Drake Maye a real No. 1. Did Howie fleece New England, or did the Eagles give up on a top-5 receiver too early?

🎯 Rams Land Myles Garrett in a Stunner The blockbuster nobody saw closing this fast: the Rams landed Myles Garrett, shipping Jared Verse and picks to Cleveland. You're not trading for a slight upgrade — you're trading for the best defensive player of this era. Pair him with that secondary and an explosive offense and the NFC might already be over. The only question: is L.A. all-in for this year, or hedging with the Ty Simpson pick?

Oh little little De'Aaron
He's looking so hopeless again
His minutes, his minutes
His minutes just grow
He shoots and just hopes it goes in

⚔️ Pick Your Soldier — Spurs or Knicks in the Finals?

Hunter — Knicks in 7: Wing advantage is too much — OG, Bridges, and Towns overwhelm a Spurs team that's never seen this offense.

Jack — Knicks in 6: Well-rested, trusts Towns to cook, and the Spurs are gassed after a 7-game war with OKC.

Ryan — Spurs in 7: The East was soft. Spurs' guard depth smothers Brunson, and Wemby on Towns is the equalizer.

Whose pick are you riding with?
